The Leaf is much loved in many parts of the world for showing so much kindness to the planet ever since it was launched in 2010 — but some just can’t accept the EV for its cutsey looks. So to try and fix that, Nissan has unveiled a new menacing Black Edition.
Based on the Acenta grade, the newbie has been painted black and packs 16in black alloys, LED headlights, illuminated entry guards, privacy glass, black door mirror caps and black rear roof spoiler. The cabin gets blue-stitched floor mats and comes with the latest evolution of the advanced Nissan Connect EV telematics system and Wi-Fi hotspot.
In the six years the model has been around 240,000 units have sold. A few more will be added to that total thanks to this one.
