We’re massive fans of the M2 — not just because it is the spiritual successor to the legendary 2002 Turbo — but because it is a brilliant little car in its own right. And it’s just become even better.

Laptime-Performance has covered it with the legendary M stripes and ‘Turbo’ lettering — using the same font as the original. It’s a nice tribute but that isn’t all the German tuner has done. It’s added a new front GTS lip, a CSL-style boot lid and a vented carbon fibre bonnet. It rides on 19in HRE R101 alloys (brushed gold) and it has a Akrapovic Evolution exhaust system. Output has grown from 370 horses to 415 and 465Nm of torque to 560Nm thanks to a Mcchip-DKR upgrade.
