We don’t think that the Huracan Spyder needs any more visual pizzazz because, er have you seen it? It is an incredible sight as it is. However, there are some tuners out there that feel the Lamborghini could do with a bit more flair. Step forward Vision of Speed.
The German tuner has dressed the Lambo up so that it’d be seen from a million miles away. It gets a bright orange body wrap which would be loud enough but they don’t stop there – they have also added numerous carbon fibre parts to the already eye-catching exterior to make it, er, more eye-catching. But, VOS might have gone a little overboard with the magic weave – even the fuel filler cap, side mirror caps, and the spoiler lip up front are made out of carbon fibre. It even has a rear diffuser made out of the lightweight and very expensive material.
The quad exhaust tips which are part of the new titanium system from Akrapovic, shed 20kg of weight over the standard exhaust. It isn’t just lighter – the new system increases the Huracan Spyder’s output by almost 20 horses and 22Nm of torque meaning the naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 now makes 630 horses and 582Nm of torque which is sent to all four wheels via the same dual-clutch, seven-speed gearbox.
Have they fiddled a little too much with the droptop from Sant’Agata Bolognese, which rides on 20in wheels from Mansory (21in at the back) and even has a fixed wing made from, yep, more carbon fibre? Possibly. Actually, make that an affirmative – because VOS has also treated the cabin with the pricey stuff; the door sills, paddle shifters, and also the steering wheel haven’t been spared.
