The supple suspension on the 570GT makes it McLaren’s second softest sportscar in the Sports Series. Although a tad wilder than the 540C, the GT isn’t bad enough for Novitec’s liking — so the tuner has given it more of an edge.
It’s increased the output of the biturbo 3.8-litre V8 from 562 horses to 637 while torque climbs from 601Nm to 692. This now allows the GT to hit 100kph from rest in just 3.0 seconds rather than 3.4 while its top speed has grown to 335kph from 328kph.
Novitec also offers a set of sport springs to remove some of the cushiness and drops the ride height by 30mm. The carbon fibre body kit looks pretty good and there’s a new spoiler on the rear to improve downforce.
It rides on MC1 forged wheels measuring 20in at the front and 21in at the back.
