Audi Sport is keen on adding to its growing range of potent RS models by 2020 and a clutch of peppier SUVs will be offered by then — but if you can’t wait that long for, say, the RS Q5 — ABT can help you out.

The first generation CUV didn’t receive the hardcore RS treatment but the new 2018 model will get the same 444 horsepower twin turbo V6 as the RS5 coupe but if you want your fast family hauler right now then the German tuner has you covered. It has revealed a new tuning package for the Q5 and we must admit it looks wild. For the range-topping SQ5, the tuner cranks up the power and gives it a an aggressive body kit. The blown 3.0-litre V6 makes 425 horses — that’s 71 horses more than the regular model. The new front bumper gets larger vents, it also wears bigger side skirts, and it has a sporty roof-mounted spoiler.

The blacked out grille is a nice touch while the front fenders have been trimmed with carbon fibre trim. The ride height has been dropped too and it gets 20in alloys in each corner.
