If you wished that your Corvette Grand Sport had an electric drivetrain instead of traditional V8 power, then you’re not only in the minority — you’re also in luck. Maryland-based custom carmaker Genovation Cars has just the thing for you — yep, an electric Vette...

Based on the C7 and revealed at the CES show in Las Vegas, the new electric sportscar — called the GXE — features two electric motors which have been placed under the bonnet and which have a combined output of 800 horses.

They drive the rear wheels via a seven-speed manual or eight-speed automatic (with paddle-shifters) and it can hit 100kph from rest in under three seconds. It has a top speed of 355kph.

Its five battery packs  have a total storage of 61.6kWh and a maximum range of 281km. Stopping power comes from Brembo carbon ceramic brakes and if you like what you see, you better hurry — just 75 units are to be built.
