We think the new Navigator looks great. It’s suave and very sophisticated which is a hard trick for a massive SUV to pull off but the Lincoln does it. But, we have found one that we like a whole lot better and it is courtesy of the mad geniuses at Hennessey Performance. And if you hadn’t guessed already, yes, it is fast...

The Texas-based tuning company, which usually loves nothing more than making the most potent of hypercars, has turned its attentions to the SUV and we are happy to report that they have blessed it with 600 horses. They are the first aftermarket firm to offer performance upgrades for the luxurious family hauler which sure makes the most of the twin-turbo 3.5-litre V6 which makes 450 horses untouched. The extra 150 have been produced thanks to a high-flow air induction system, new stainless steel exhaust, and a large front-mounted intercooler system. It can hit 100kph from rest in just 4.8 seconds.

Some of the other upgrades include an aggressive set of forged monoblock wheels, a lowered suspension giving it a sportier stance and beefy Brembo brakes to provide ample stopping power.
