Good news fans of muscle cars and al fresco driving, Chevrolet has recently launched the 2017 Camaro Convertible in our region just in time for the cooler weather. The fabric roof retracts at speeds of up to 48kph, or you can James Bond it and use the key fob to remotely drop the top as you are walking up to the car.

The whole roof system is multilayered in an effort to reduce noise intrusion into the cabin, yet the car weighs around 90kg less than the previous-generation Camaro Convertible as it sits on GM’s modern Alpha platform, which also underpins Cadillac saloons and coupés.

In the UAE, the 2017 sixth-gen Camaro Convertible comes with a choice of 3.6-litre V6 rated at 335bhp or 6.2-litre V8 for the SS model worth 455 horsepower. Prices for the V6 LT versions are Dh154,067 and 178,925, respectively, while the V8 SS variant starts at Dh218,200.
