GMC has just revealed a new teaser image of the new Terrain and that doesn’t leave us much time to get too excited about it as the newbie will be revealed this week at the Detroit motor show. Even still, we can’t wait to see the actual model as from what we can gather from the pic, it looks pretty good and it is all thanks to that floating roofline. Er, well, we can't really see much else apart from that...
The 2018 Terrain was teased on the official Facebook page of the US carmaker with a caption which read, “The bar will be elevated, shattered and left behind.” Those are some big words from GMC and we hope they will be able to deliver. From what we can tell from the pic, GMC just might be on to something and it’s all down to the swooping C-pillars and a floating roof. Not too much else is known about the new crossover but we like the chrome trim on the roof rails and upper portion of the window surround (we played around the image and tried to make it lighter in the hope more details would reveal themselves alas no luck…) but the rumours suggest it could be equipped with a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder with 170 horsepower along with a more powerful 2.0-litre turbo with 252 horsepower mated to a nine-speed automatic. Depending on the powertrain and trim level, front- or all-wheel-drive layouts should be available.
