Usually, carmakers tend to reveal a solitary teaser image and then another the following day/week until the car finally shows up at a motor show in all its glory but, Hyundai is doing things a little differently. It has revealed not one teaser image of the upcoming Accent, but eight!

As you probably guessed, all eight photos don’t exactly show much of the little saloon (we've chosen the best three...), but there’s enough to go by to form a decent idea of what the newbie will look like when it is eventually launched next year. The subcompact will likely have a more refined exterior just like the current saloons that Hyundai is making however, the profile appears rather similar to the current gen model meaning the aesthetics will probably be more evolutionary than revolutionary. The biggest change will be to the front fascia; it seems as if the Accent will adopt a similar grille as the new Elantra saloon while the headlights look like they’ll be slightly more rounded and they’ll feature LED strips and it will have LED taillights. Hmm, will the new car really be more upscale or is Hyundai just doing what every respectable carmaker does and adding LEDs to their models? We expect some of the brands latest suite of technologies such as Bluelink telematics system on the car and its latest multimedia interface - featuring Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. We also reckon that it will pack a rearview camera and sat-nav but the current 1.6-litre four-pot will probably be carried over and mated to a six-speed automatic - but it could also get a 1.4-litre turbo-four.

We’ll know for sure when the 2018 model makes its official debut at the 2017 Toronto motor show this week.
