If you want things done right then you have to do them yourself, so, Opel boss Karl-Thomas Neumann took it to himself to tweet an image of the brands new upcoming compact CUV. And we have to say he did a good job as the pic reveals absolutely nothing. Hmm, the perfect teaser, if you will…
The bright headlights hide any hint of detail of the front end of the Grandland X CUV but what we already know is that it will be the bigger brother of the Crossland X when it eventually makes its debut at the Frankfurt motor show in September.
The Grandland X will ride on the same PSA-developed EMP2 platform as the Crossland X and could have a host of turbocharged four-cylinder engines. It’ll be built in by PSA at its factory in Sochaux, France and will likely replace the Zafira in the Opel lineup.
Opel is also working on replacements for the Adam, Corsa, and the Mokka X and all three could be with us by 2019.
