You’ll have heard of the new McLaren Hyper-GT three-seater. That’s the one with a central driver’s seat, just like Gordon Murray’s McLaren F1 from the Nineties.
This spiritual successor is now all the hype, as it’s purported to be the fastest McLaren ever, with a top speed of over 391kph, which is coincidentally the peak achieved by the legendary F1.
Only 106 of these will be produced however, at over Dh8 million each, so that counts most of us out.
However McLaren is now making an even rarer car, the new 570GT MSO Black Collection. Admittedly it’s only a special edition 570GT, and 100 examples will be offered worldwide although with its price tag of around Dh900,000, it’s a fair bargain over the Hyper-GT.
As the name suggest, each 570GT MSO Black Collection car will come with a lot of black stuff, since it’s a creation by the company’s McLaren Special Operations team that deals in all sorts of bespoke orders.
It doesn’t just have stealthy MSO Bespoke Carbon Black paint, the whole thing gets murdered out with a black exhaust finish and gloss black diamond-cut wheels over black brake callipers for the carbon ceramic discs. The wheels come in a five twin-spoke design shod with Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres ready for the track.
Inside, designers chose, you guessed it, black trim and black Alcantara accents, with even the key receiving the Carbon Black treatment.
In case that’s all too stealthy for you, you’ll be sure to attract plenty of attention with the added titanium sports exhaust which is 5kg lighter than stock and additionally five decibels louder on top of that.
The neighbours will just love ya.
