BMW’s latest M-powered car, the M6 Gran Coupe, will go on sale here this month

BMW has an M6 coupé and convertible, so this, the new 6 Series Gran Coupe will sit above them quite nicely. But more important than that, the new car will give the Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG something to think about.

We reckon they’ll be of the nightmare variety. Boasting a 4.4-litre V8 with M TwinPower Turbo technology, the 6 Series Gran Coupe will produce a tarmac-melting 552bhp and hit 0-100kph in 4.2 seconds flat. Scary indeed. Going on sale across the region this month, the third body variant of the BMW M6

high-performance sportscar packs all manner of technology, including a seven-speed M double-clutch transmission with Drivelogic, Active M Differential and model-specific chassis technology.

It looks the part, too, what with enhanced M styling design cues such as wider air intakes, contoured headlight units, the newly designed M kidney grille with an M6 badge and 20in M light-alloys.
