Jaguar Land Rover Middle East and North Africa welcomed the Holy Month of Ramadan this year by launching the first regional addition to its InControl Apps suite, the popular Muslim prayers app, Salatuk.
The Salatuk app has been available for download since the first week of Ramadan to Android users in the region via Google’s Play Store, with an iOS version due in the coming months.
Developed by Moroccan mobile app company, Masarat App, Salatuk is one of the most popular Muslim prayers apps in the MENA region with over 30 million downloads. The mobile app’s unique algorithm supports many calculation methods adopted by most Muslim countries around the world and depending on the user’s location, the application chooses the appropriate calculation method and Fiqhi school. Salatuk, has won several awards from around the region including the Mobily Award in 2013.
“The Salatuk App is an award winning and extremely popular app in the MENA region and it fits perfectly with Jaguar Land Rover’s mission to allow our owners to personalise their vehicle in a very detailed way, offering in-car infotainment applications that transfer directly from their smartphone to the car. With the Holy Month upon us, this is the perfect time to introduce Salatuk to our suite of InControl Apps” said Salman Sultan, Public Relations and Social Media Manager for Jaguar Land Rover MENA.
Jaguar Land Rover’s InControl suite of services, allows customers to access their smartphone apps on the vehicle’s centre console touch screen by connecting via the vehicle’s USB port. Once connected, the InControl suite of apps on the vehicle’s touch screen have the same look and feel as they do on the smartphone.
