The four-door coupe that kicked off a design revolution of sorts in the automobile world back in 2004, has now shed much of its camouflage, with just a little bit of the fake panels left on the prototype’s body. This means we can now get a better idea of how the production CLS will look.
This particular tester seems to be an AMG Line version as its ports a larger grille similar to the ones seen on recent AMG models. It also features large air intakes on the front bumper than the CLS prototypes spotted earlier. Underpinned by the MRA platform that forms the basis of new E-Class, the new CLS appears to be slightly longer and wider than the previous model. The signature fastback roofline tapers down to a rear that reveals slim taillights that are seen in Merc coupes.
