Since the Miura, almost all major models in the Lamborghini line-up have got a limited-edition SV (Super Veloce) variant. Now pictures of a lightly camouflaged Aventador doing the rounds at the Nürburgring Nordschliefe have surfaced, confirming what we already knew — a top-tier SV version is in the works.
The photos taken by our spy reveal a lower, more aggressive front bumper, larger brakes and a set of wheels that are similar to those seen in the Aventador
LP 720-4 50 Anniversario Edition. A gurney flap seems to have been attached to the rear wing, suggesting that the SV will likely produce more downforce than the standard car and consequently will handle better, too.
Powertrain will remain the same, but the 6.5-litre V12 engine will see significant upgrades to produce an expected 800 horsepower, and possibly shave
a tenth or two of a second from the 0-100kph run as well.
A lighter and louder exhaust system is likely to make its way into the SV, but since the standard model already has an overdose of carbon fibre, it’s highly doubtful that the SV will be significantly lighter.
Keep watching this space for more details and pics as they come through in the coming months before the Lamborghini Aventador SV makes its official debut sometime towards the end of next year.
