The Merc-AMG GT S is already a wild ride what with a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 making a healthy 510 horses and 650Nm of torque. But, that just wasn’t wild enough for German tuner Piecha.

The aftermarket firm has given the high-performance coupé a real shot in the arm and made it even more potent. Called the Mercedes-AMG GT RSR, its V8 has been poked and prodded to produce over 100 horses more to make a whopping 612 along with 840Nm. That makes this even more powerful than the range-topping Mercedes-AMG GT R.

The modified exterior includes a splitter at the front, prominent side skirts, a massive spoiler and a set of new 19in front and 20in rear alloys with 13mm spacers.
