Do you remember Tickford? The Australia-based tuner tweaked the Ford RS200 and the Sierra RS500 back in the Eighties, to brilliant effect we might add — and in more recent times it worked on the Ranger. Now it’s turned its attention to another model from the Blue Oval — the Mustang.
Basically, the tuner has added more oomph to the pony in both Ecoboost and GT trim by fettling with ECU and adding a tricked-out exhaust system. The turbocharged four-cylinder now makes 362 horsepower and a healthy 540Nm of torque — that’s 50 horses and 108Nm more than standard, while the GT makes 483 horses and 585Nm from its 5.0-litre V8. That’s an increase of 72 horses and 55Nm over the regular model.
