Since Lister did such a fine job on building that 666 horsepower F-Type-based Thunder sportscar, the UK tuner has decided to have another crack at a Jaguar — this time it’s the F-Pace SVR. The results? It’s the fastest SUV in the world!

The SVR is no slouch what with its 5.0-litre supercharged V8 pumping out 550 horses but Lister’s makes 670 horses. Called the LFP, it’s more potent than the Lamborghini Urus (641 horses), but not as wild as the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk (707 horses). It can hit 0-100 kph in 3.5 seconds and the big news is that it has a top speed  of more than 322kph. Yes, that makes it faster than the likes of the Bentley Bentayga (301kph) and Urus (305kph) — it’s so fast that you probably won’t get to see how good it looks. The renderings show a two-tone paintjob and racy bodykit. A limited production run of 250 cars will be made with prices starting at around $180,000 (Dh293,000) with a simple conversion. Full details of the car’s modifications have yet to be released — but we know it’ll feature an extensive use of carbon fibre to reduce weight and improve handling and performance. Deliveries should begin in October.
