Thanks to the mad as a hat G63 AMG 6x6 which was produced by Mercedes over five years ago, it seems everyone has tried to replicate that wild six-wheel formula. John Hennessey and co dabbled with it with the awesome VelociRaptor 6x6 which was of course based on the already awesome F-150 Raptor — and now they’ve turned their attentions on Ford’s main rival, Chevrolet.

The Texas tuner has taken a Silverado Trail Boss Z71 and seriously gone to town on it to create the Goliath 6x6 — and this truck really is as cool as its name.

As usual, Hennessey has dialled the power way up; its 6.2-litre V8 gets a 2.9-litre supercharger that has been wound up to 7psi of boost and along with a stainless steel sports exhaust, it has a total output of 705 horses (they might also offer a more powerful version with 808 horses!) and Hennessey reckons this leviathan can hit 100kph from rest in the mid-four-second range. The 8.0in lift kit and 37in off-road BFGoodrich tyres means it’ll be able to go anywhere, literally. It also gets LED lights, huge-font Hennessey graphics and a rollbar upgrade.

Sadly, only 24 are to be built.
