The Germans have upgraded Audi’s newest member of the Q family by giving it more power, bigger wheels, and some new interior flourishes.
The tuner has upgraded the Q8 50 TDI quattro, which is powered by an oil-burning 3.0-litre V6 that made 282 horses from the factory but with a poke and a prod it has a far healthier output of 325. That should help shave a few tenths of a second off the standard model’s 6.3-second 0-100kph sprint time although ABT Sportsline doesn’t say by how much. They also don’t mention the new top speed but it should exceed the standard’s 231kph.
It rides on a set of huge 22in wheels and two designs can be had; ABT FR in black with polished spoke edges and the ABT Sport GR with a concave rim base finished in either matte black or gloss black. As for the cabin, it now features a start-stop switch finished in premium-quality metal and door welcome lights with the ABT logo. Nope, not a comprehensive upgrade — but it does the trick.
