Already packing stunning looks, incredible performance and class-leading handling right off the factory floor, the McLaren 720S Spider doesn't exactly seem as if it needs any more help in any department whatsoever. But, Russian tuning firm, TopCar, disagrees and has had a go at tuning the British supercar. The result is what it calls the Fury...
The tuner is known for its work on models such as the Porsche 911 and Panamera and has also created packages for Mercedes-AMG models. Recently, it did a kit for the Lamborghini Urus and now it is expanding business to the 720S Spider.
The modifications made to the McLaren are pretty extensive. The 720S Spider gets plenty of carbon fibre, in fact, TopCar adds more than 50 new parts combined with a deep green finish. The company says this is their most expansive project to date, and can only produce one kit every 30 days given the level of detail and judging by that new nose with a front skirt insert, then a mount for the air scoop, we believe them. There is a multi-piece spoiler lip and a new front panel with gills too...
The modifications made around the back are even wilder and to be honest we can't decide which angle we prefer because both the front and back of the Fury looks just incredible. The modifications include a diffuser, unique trim finishes for the engine covers, and a rear wing with two fins, a reference to TopCar’s shark logo. They skipped the colour coating, leaving the gray fibrous structure so it could better contrast with the dark green paint. The rear wing of the Fury pays homage to the TopCar logo, which is a shark.
Extensive carbon fibre panels have been added to the sides to give the 720S Spider a new look and it rides on TopCar Fury style wheels measuring 9×20 inches at the front and 11.5×21 inches at the back.
The McLaren 720S Spider is a hot car in its own right, but TopCar has taken it to a whole new level thanks to its body kit made entirely from the lightweight but ultra-strong material...
The carbon fibre additions to the door sills show the name “Fury” and the TopCar logo when the door is open and the cabin of the open-top supercar from Woking is also improved; it gets reupholstered seats and a centre console and door panels wrapped in Alcantara leather. The interior’s new colour scheme includes black and green to match the exterior hue. As for pricing, it costs $71,117 for the complete kit and $88,866 for the more extensive stealth kit. And no, the car is not included...
