Welcome to My Wheels, Sher. When did you get your Ford Mustang?
Thanks for having me in the magazine! I found it online a year ago and had it imported from the US and registered in Abu Dhabi.
I used to own a 2005 model which was my daily driver but when I saw this one in this beautiful Electric Blue paint I just had to have it.
I was tempted to buy a Corvette C7 but I wanted my daily driver to have four seats and so I opted for the Ford and am glad that I did.
It has been customized a lot — tell us from start to finish what you have done to it...
Well, it isn’t quite finished! I still have more plans for it but as for now, it has all sorts of goodies for the 5.0-litre V8 including Ford Performance ignition coils, Laser Iridium spark plugs, K&N sports oil filter, a JLT Plastic Cold Air Intake and a S&B Powerstack air filter.
I also did a lot of work on the suspension, brakes and wheels; it has Koni STR.T strut shocks (front and rear) Steeda Street lowering springs, Maximum Motorsport castor camber plates, BMR front and rear swaybar bush kit, Hawk Street Performance brake pads, and rides on 20in Welds-Racing wheels wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero N1 tyres.
So that was the performance and handling side of things sorted, tell us about the mods made to the exterior…
I have quite a big list of mods but the first thing that I wanted to do was to protect the blue paintwork and so I had it coated with Nano Ceramic ultra-paint protection. Then I added a T-Rex aluminium laser billet upper and lower grille, a host of goodies from MMD by Foose including a carbon fibre rear spoiler, carbon fibre rear louver, hydro carbon dip side skirts and wings and a carbon fibre front bumper extension lip. Then I added 5.0-litre Coyote custom side fender logos and one on the boot lid.
It also has Ultron blue lightning strips on the lip, rear spoiler, door panels and engine bay. But I suppose the highlight for many are the Lamborghini-like vertical doors. These get a lot of attention when I get in and out of my car.
You have done a lot of work on it but you said that it isn’t finished — what else do you have planned for it?
I would love to get a wide body kit on it and wider wheels along with an Airlift suspension and maybe some more performance upgrades too. Basically I am always on the lookout for ways to keep my car looking interesting and ensure it gets a lot of attention!

Yes it does — people love to take photos of my car and always comment positively about it which makes me feel great. My family and friends always love hearing what my latest plans are for it and they appreciate all the effort I have put in transforming my car.
It looks like it’s a lot of fun to drive now…
It sure is and I make sure to drive it at least three or four times a week. It’s no garage queen!
I love taking it to the western region of Abu Dhabi and the most special place for me to drive it is at the Qusahwira / Mender / Liwa areas where there are some nice twisty roads.

No, I have owned several others before such as a 1996 and 2003 Mazda RX-8, 2010 Mercedes SLK 320 and a 2005 Porsche 911. I don’t customize every car that I own for instance I had a stock 2010 Nissan GT-R, 2014 Audi R8 and a 2015 Lamborghini Huracán. Those three really didn’t need anything done to them and in fact from all of the cars that I have owned, the Lambo was the best.
Finally, what is your dream car?
It has to be the Bugatti Veyron Mansory Linea Vincero.
