The 2019 LA Motor Show is on and as usual the uniquely Californian motoring extravaganza is displaying a fine mix of SUVs, CUVs, EVs and best of all, some splendid motors with massive V8s! 

The big shots from the auto industry including VW Group and Ford are in attendance and major announcements are expected in the coming days - even though some manufacturers jumped the gun and revealed their new models before the doors to the show opened...

Anyway, here's 15 of the best new models from the show so far! 

Lexus LC 500 Convertible: it will have a 5.0-litre V8 mated to a 10-speed auto. Its four-layer soft top takes 15 seconds to open and 16 seconds to close. Photo; Supplied

Volkswagen Atlas Sport Cross: There’s a choice of a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter V6 with 276 hp or a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo gasoline with 235 hp, while an eight-speed automatic transmission is standard. Photo: Supplied
