Subaru has revealed a teaser image of its upcoming, all-new XV crossover and you can almost make out what the newbie will look like. Well, the profile anyway.

Set to make its world debut at the 87th Geneva International motor show in Switzerland in early March where a year earlier the concept was showcased, the XV (aka Crosstrek) will feature a good mix of sportiness and ruggedness, new bumpers and black plastic cladding over the wheel arches, however the overall shape and stance won’t change too much from the current version. Many likened the previous-generation model as a five-door Impreza hatchback on stilts and they just might do the same with this one.

No details of the crossover’s specifications are known yet but what we do know is that it will be based on the same platform as the new 2017 Impreza. We expect it to feature the brands symmetrical all-wheel drive system along with a revised 2.0-litre Boxer mated to a six-speed manual or a CVT and a hybrid drivetrain might be added later.

Some of the tech should include Subaru’s EyeSight assistant (it features pre-collision assist and a lane departure warning system) and the Starlink infotainment system.
