Aston Martin has announced a limited edition version of the Vanquish S that will be available exclusively to its customers in the Middle East. Called the Pearl Edition in a nod to the region’s historic association with the pearl industry, it showcases the skills of craftsmen at Gaydon’s bespoke personalisation division, Q by Aston Martin. “The Vanquish S Pearl Edition is an extremely special car, it is a chance for us to demonstrate our skilled application of exotic materials as well as the Q by Aston Martin team’s attention to detail,” says Marek Reichman, executive vice president and Chief Creative Officer, who oversees the ‘Q’ team.

The distinguishing details in the limited edition model include wing badges on the front and rear of the car inlaid with shimmery panels of delicate mother of pearl. The exquisite material is also incorporated throughout the car’s s interior, including down the centre of the console, on the dashboard rotary switches, sill plaque and sterling silver fender badge. The central console buckle badge has mother of pearl inlay, highlighting the detail on the unique Pearl Edition logo. Every piece of pearl used in the car have apparently been chosen, cut, shaped and hand polished using the same methods used for crafting jewellery.

The cabin also gets pale leather upholstery with hides selected from tanneries in Ireland and the UK and perforated with a ‘snowflake’ pattern. The lustrous theme is continued through to the copper tan metallic leather detailing and the pearlescent Q by Aston Martin platinum white paint finish over the all-carbon fibre body.
