Just a few weeks after the world premiere of the saloon, the two-door version of the C-Class proves it is also enjoying its new top form with the coupé and cabriolet.
The two models get a sharper design, digital cockpit and Dynamic Body Control suspension. The new four-cylinder engines with increased performance in the C 200 and C 300 as well as the Mercedes-AMG C 43 4MATIC now with 390 horses underscore the dynamic nature of this highly emotive appealing C-Class variant.
A new generation of four cylinder petrol engines (M264) is being launched for the new C-Class. With a displacement of 2.0 litres they will now have an increased output of 204 horses in the C 200 and 258 in the C 300.
With a multitude of carefully coordinated measures, the AMG developers have enhanced the two-door performance models dynamics even further. The 3.0-litre V6 engine now develops 390 horses — that’s 23 horses more than before. The peak torque of 520Nm is available in a wide engine speed range from 2,500 to 5,000rpm. The new C 43 4MATIC Coupé accelerates from a standstill to 100kph in 4.7 seconds, and the Cabriolet in 4.8 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 250kph.
The exterior of the C 43 4MATIC Coupe and Cabriolet is considerably more expressive, strongly identifying the new models as members of the family.
The latest C-Class models will be available in the GCC region in Q3 2018.
