Chevrolet refreshed the sixth-generation Camaro for 2019 by giving it a new face and more tech and now the iconic muscle car is available to buy in showrooms across the Middle East.
Available in new Crush, Riverside Blue Metallic, Shadow Grey Metallic and Satin Steel Grey Metallic, Shock Yellow the 2019 Camaro is currently on sale starting from Dh147,000. They get a handful of new technology features including GM’s Rear Camera Mirror, a new infotainment system with a 7.0in or optional 8.0in touchscreen and a more intuitive interface along with OnStar 4G LTE with WiFi hotspot support, and a forward collision warning system.
The exterior (on LT and SS models) includes a new “Flowtie” grille and vents that will optimise airflow and maximize cooling, a revised bumper and new LED taillights in the signature quad round design theme. There’s a new Turbo 1LE Performance Package for the turbocharged 2.0-litre four-pot which blesses the Camaro with a six-speed manual (as standard) along with an output of 275 horses. The pack also features an upgraded suspension and tyres, Brembo brakes, driver-selectable Track and Competition modes, a suede flat-bottom steering wheel and shift knob, and available Recaro bucket seats.
The LT gets a 3.6-litre V6, while the SS has a 455 horsepower 6.2-litre V8 mated to a 10-speed automatic (out goes the eight-speed) and best of all a new launch control mode and line lock feature. The hottest Camaro of the lot, the ZL1, will produce 650 horses from its supercharged 6.2-litre V8 mated to a six-speed manual or 10-speed auto.
