The 2020 Geneva Motor Show is set to begin in a few days and Skoda is trying to get us excited by releasing a teaser image of the Octavia RS iV before it makes its world debut at the Palexpo.

The sporty compact, with plug-in hybrid power, is the range-topping variant of the fourth-generation Octavia. It’s the first Skoda RS to adopt electrification and it combines a 1.4-litre TSI turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a 114 horsepower electric motor. Total output is 242 horses and 400Nm of torque and it can run on electric power alone for up to 55km thanks to its 13 kWh battery pack.

Featuring a sporty exterior replete with a beefy body kit, it also packs a black Skoda grille, dynamic front apron with black Air Curtains, and a rear apron with Aero Flaps and a matching rear diffuser.

The cabin is mostly black with contrasting stitching on the sports seats and it has a leather-covered three-spoke multifunction sports steering wheel.
