Cadillac has launched its 2021 Escalade in the Middle East, seeking to consolidate its position in the full-size luxury SUV category. Completely redesigned and packing new technology features, the flagship SUV maintains the brand’s signature vertical lighting element up front, but reinterpreted as a horizontal headlamp to add to its a broad stance.
The vertical lighting signature is carried over to the rear too, with the taillights getting three-dimensional layers and finishes with detailed etching. Twenty-two-inch wheels are standard in the new Escalade.
Escalade will offer Cadillac’s Sport trim for the first time, featuring a black mesh grille and black trim across the exterior. Luxury and Premium Luxury models showcase a bright Galvano finish, while Platinum models top the range, with unique interior and exterior details.
The cabin design has been influenced by Cadillac’s Escala concept vehicle and breaks and comes with Gideon Whisper Beige trim combination and an available custom-woven fabric.
The tech features inside are anchored by a curved, 4K OLED screen, complemented by an AKG automotive audio system.
The 2021 Escalade offers more room for passengers and their cargo thanks to the new architecture and chassis. It offers 40 per cent more third-row legroom (886 mm) and a 68 per cent increase in maximum cargo space behind the third row (722 litres) in the standard-length model.
Cadillac says the Escalade ESV is now the best in class for cargo space behind the first, second and third rows.
