To mark the significance of the driving ban lift in Saudi Arabia which grants women in the Kingdom the newfound ability to drive, Chevrolet Middle East has revealed a commemorative 10 Shawwal street sign across all of its social media platforms. The date coincides with the 10th Shawwal 1439.
Continuing to build on Chevrolet’s 92-year long legacy of being an active member of Saudi society, Chevrolet has made the image available for public use, encouraging social media users to be part of this massive milestone in Saudi history by reposting the 10 Shawwal image on their own social media channels and applying the filter to customize their own photos and social media stories.
The 10 Shawwal street sign campaign comes as part of the brand’s ongoing efforts to support women in the Kingdom since His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud announced the decree lifting the ban on women driving last September 2017. Molly Peck, Chief Marketing Officer at General Motors Middle East, said: “We hope women and men in Saudi will join us in marking this day by sharing the 10 Shawwal street sign and filter across social media to recognize today’s significance to the women of Saudi Arabia, whether they decide to join the driving community or not.”
