By 2021, Genesis says it will have expanded its lineup to six models with the addition of three new luxury vehicles with several of these expected to be compacts crossovers.

Genesis, which became a standalone marque in 2015 having earlier been the luxury vehicle division of the South Korean manufacturer Hyundai Motor Group, currently offers the new G90, G80 and the G70 in its portfolio but as a progressive automotive brand, it will be adding to its ranks in just two years in a bid to continue competing in the luxury vehicle segment.

The first of the new launches is expected to be the G80-based GV80 medium-size crossover and it'll share most of its components with the saloon including the same V6 with the addition of a possible V8. It will be available with rear- or all-wheel-drive layouts and will be followed up by a compact crossover based on the smaller G70. As for the third new addition, rumours are ride that it could be either a large SUV, a sporty coupe (again, possibly based on the G70) or an electric vehicle. Hopefully, it's the coupe but it may well be a Tesla rival. Time will tell.

Genesis says the new state-of-the-art models will offer automotive connoisseurs exceptional refined performance along with mindful innovations, and distinctive design.
