Our spy photographer in Germany has caught the new Porsche 911 Turbo S almost undisguised and production ready. These are the latest and most revealing spy shots of the 2020 Porsche 911 Turbo S, ahead of its planned official reveal this spring. Although the official reveal is a few weeks away still, this batch of spy photos shows the car pretty much undisguised. But for a few black tapes here and there, the 911 Turbo S is seen production ready in these pictures.

The prototype seen here looks similar to Carrera testers seen earlier, there are several clues that distinguish it as the Turbo variant. The large openings in each of the rear fenders and the vents at either side of the rear fascia indicate a more potent powertrain while further intakes above the daytime running lights, an larger rear wing, and massive brake rotors all point to this being a boosted 911. At higher speeds, the Turbo S will see its rear wing rise and the front lip spoiler deploy. It will also get staggered wheels measuring 20 inches in diameter up front, 21 inches at the back.

The powertrain will be a twin-turbocharged flat-six, mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel-drive system. Expect the output to be bumped up from the 540 horsepower of the current Turbo. Which means max power for the Turbo S could nudge the 650 horsepower mark.

We’ll be bringing you more images and information on the new 911 Turbo S once it is officially revealed.
