If you have always wondered what it’d be like to drag race pretty much every new supercar on sale then wonder no more. The guys at YouTube channel “TheSupercarDriver” gathered nine of the fastest machines on the planet, put them on a closed off Royal Air Force runway and did the sensible thing — dropped them in a half-mile drag race.
The cars in attendance varied wildly, with the line-up consisting of the Lamborghini Aventador SV, McLaren 570S, Aston Martin GT12, McLaren 675 LT, Lamborghini Huracán, Mercedes-AMG GT S, Porsche 911 GT3 RS, Porsche 918 Spyder and the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. No, they’re not evenly matched or priced, but it is still supremely satisfying to watch these supercars dice with each other at full tilt.
The race is run between two cars at a time in elimination style with the winner moving on to the next stage, until the final two go head to head. It’s sort of like a real life Need for Speed – not particularly useful but fun nonetheless.
