The Mercedes-AMG C43 Cabriolet has been updated for 2019 and is as good to drive as it looks. It features slimmer LED High-Performance headlights, a diamond twin-louver radiator grille, a beefier bumper, LED taillights, round twin tailpipes and rides on 19in AMG five-spoke alloys.

It’s also loaded with some serious kit too; the cabin has a 10.5in infotainment display (Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard) and a 12.3in digital instrument cluster along with new touch-sensitive control buttons on the AMG performance flat-bottom steering wheel, Airscarf neck-level heating (integrated into the new performance sport seats) and Aircap which helps to reduce cabin turbulence when you’ve got the top down. Some of the safety tech includes attention assist, active brake assist, pre-safe, and adaptive braking technology and a 360-degree camera which relays the sharpest of images.

With its 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 mated to a robust nine-speed automatic making 385bhp and 520Nm of torque, it is a hoot to drive. And since AMG has tweaked the drivetrain it can do the 0-100kph sprint in just 4.8 seconds. With four drive modes to choose from (Comfort, Eco, Sport and Sport Plus) it has something for everyone.
