Well my first car was a Capri which I paid 30 Great British Pounds for (I was offered a BMW 3.0 CSI — but since that was 300 GBP and I couldn’t afford to insure it so didn’t get it) but that was the beginning of my love of beautiful cars. My second was a Capri 1600 which I had to leave in the UK when I was posted to Germany with the RAF in the late Seventies. I returned home for vacation a year or so later to find my father had hand painted it gloss black with a paint brush! He very proudly told me it was his way of keeping the rust out… we all know that is impossible with a Capri!
